SEPTA is on strike in the Montgomery country and Philadelphia Areas. Those are the only ones that I know about. This is a big problem for me since I use a Montgomery bus to get to school. Normally I'd be worried and annoyed, but my mom let me borrow her car in the mean time granted I drive her to work. This makes me really happy, because I love my mom's car and I don't have to let my grades suffer over some dissatisfaction bull crap.
Ok let me get this out know. I really respect the drivers of septa buses because that job isn't easy and it just drains you. I've talked to a lot of different drivers and they usually are honorable and kind. I mildly concert them the blue blood of Philadelphia.
Now here's the other thing, Although I don't and wouldn't claim to know the reason for the strike. They typically are about one key thing, and I think you know, Money. If that is the only thing then this really doesn't seem like the time or place. Given the economic standings or the massive unemployment. I mean I over heard two older men talking about this and it was quite insightful.
Man 1: "Going on strike? again?"
Man 2: "That's the way it's looking yeah, they said it was over money i think."
Man 1: "what? that crazy, theres nothing else the company can bearly cover it's own ass."
Man 2: "I know it is not good."
Man 1: "I mean they've got good jobs with benefits but still they want more?"
Man 2: "Let's hope it's over soon."
Final Word: Whatever ends up happening in the end doesn't really matter, because it's just the way of things at this point. The sun rises, the rain falls and SEPTA goes on strike. But here's the other thing the disabling of public transportation has a ripple affect that actually will dramatically effect income, employment and overall capital. I mean the buses take people to and from work, shopping halls and anywhere in-between. Basically the longer this lasts the more the people suffer from it. I think they do more harm then good in my perspective. Seeing how running the buses gets SEPTA drivers the money that they are demanding. Plus, there are people who get fed up with the bus and start car pooling. This doesn't help.
-----------------------End Section 1------------------------------
I recently got my hands on an old favorite game of mine Age of Mythology. One of the greatest games i've ever played or owned. I had to buy I new copy because the old one I had was so scratched and laser burnt that it wouldn't load anymore. HA!
But in the game there's this one unit called a Hammer Ship which is basically a trireme armed with a giant spiked flail. It's a swing hammer that blasts holes in the deck of ships within range. This just seemed so cool to me. So much so that I've desided to create a Character of modern times (understand that this ship came from the time of old egypt.) that has a ship like this. But he's not a pirate or something obvious i'm still working out the details. I just wanted to let you guys know about what might happen.
Also I had on my mind making a Aquarium Nerd Comics just for the hell of it. No one will get them or understand why they are funny but I will and that's all that matters.
I also got some new fish a fiddler crab pair and a clown loach. Pictures soon to come.
That is all I have to discuss. So until next time, peace.
